During the senatorial campaign of 1858, Abraham Lincoln stopped here to hear his opponent, Stephen Douglas, speak at a political tent rally. At this location you will see the historical marker along with an interpretive panel with a drawing depiction by Lloyd Ostendorf. See also the Lincoln Train History Markers.
