Miscellaneous Information:

An icon of Route 66, the Pig Hip Restaurant was open from 1937 to 1991, and served as a popular museum from 1991 to 2007. The building caught fire on March 5, 2007 and was destroyed. The site is now identified with a stone marker that tells its story, and a photo opportunity at the recently restored bright red sign that brought customers off the road into the restaurant.
