Miscellaneous Information:

Lincoln Woman’s Club, along with the school children of Logan County, placed the statue of the Indian Mother near the Kickapoo Street entrance of the courthouse in 1906. It was carved by Chicago sculptor, Charles J. Mulligan, and was created to remember our Native American heritage and the namesake for many streets, sites, and even the state of Illinois.
