For over 30 years, this community craft event has welcomed thousands of visitors each year to shop local handmade gifts. Items vary from things such as homemade fudge, candles, wooden toys, crocheted items, jewelry, and wall hangings to the decorated Christmas trees on display at the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse.

One question is often asked, "Where does the name 'Vinegar Hill' come from?" This unique name began in 1933. Prior to the repeal of the 18th amendment (prohibition), Mt. Pulaski stayed "wet" longer then the surrounding "dry" towns. The saloons and bootleggers in the town shipped out the moonshine in disguised vinegar and pickle barrels. People came on the railroads with their empty flasks and bottles. The railroad conductor would call out "Vinegar Hill next stop", thus the town of Mt. Pulaski earned the nickname "Vinegar Hill".

Mark your calendar and come shop over 125 vendors on Saturday, November 23rd at locations throughout the city and Downtown Mt. Pulaski, Chestnut, and Elkhart
